This session is relevant to all professionals and managers working with adults, families and carers across the Swindon Safeguarding Partnership.

Over the past year an increasing proportion of our lives from work, education to sport and activity has moved online. This is likely to continue to some extent, even as lockdown restrictions ease. This session will share best practice in relation to how to create safe cultures online.

The topics covered will be:

  • Explore how to stay safe online and understand the opportunities, uses and risks of ICT.
  • Explore the signs and symptoms of cyber abuse/bullying.
  • Explore how to create safer online spaces. 
  • Identify tactics used by online scammers. 
  • Explore the guidance for adults/young people with learning disabilities.
