Course information |
The SSP virtual conference in November 2021 highlighted the need for greater awareness for professionals working with parents affected by alcohol dependency or misuse. We are pleased to offer some free awareness sessions available to all professionals across the SSP. We are grateful to SBC colleagues who have funded this from the Restore Programme, part of an Innovation Fund grant awarded to SBC. National Association for Children of Alcoholics (Nacoa) will facilitate short awareness sessions (approximately 90 minutes) which are free to all professionals from across the Safeguarding Partnership. There are daytime sessions and bespoke twilight sessions which are relevant to professionals such as DSLs/staff working within schools/education. Nacoa provide information, advice and support for everyone affected by a parent’s drinking. The aims of the sessions is to:
