This was an opportunity to find out more about:

  • the recurring learning themes identified in local safeguarding reviews and audits
  • those themes include:
    • lack of professional curiosity
    • voice of the child
    • failure to recognise or understand some types of abuse, intersectionality of abuse and risks
    • professional practice
    • implications for practice

It will be relevant to anyone working with or supporting children, young people and their parents and carers. Some of the learning themes highlighted are also relevant to those working with or supporting adults at risk.
