This is a specialist course which aims to provide an understanding of the issues and complexities associated with the exploitation of children and to explore professionals' roles and responsibilities to safeguard children where the risk is outside of the family home (ROTH).

The course has been designed to provide participants with an advanced understanding of the contexts, meanings and indicators of child exploitation.

This will enable you to effectively contribute and understand your role in the multi-agency assessment of risk to safeguard children, and discuss the strategies and the management of risk, including effective disruption tactics. The course will also address both the sexual and criminal exploitation of children, gang activity, local lines and county lines.
