Course information |
Training delivered in a virtual classroom on MS Teams. It is thought that around one in five children in the UK experience domestic abuse. This course aims to equip professionals already working with children and young people to bring recovery and restoration, through an increased understanding of their experiences of domestic abuse. The course covers how domestic abuse impacts children, at different ages, both directly and indirectly, exploring how trauma can be displayed in their behaviour. It covers both experience of domestic abuse within their family, and young people in unhealthy relationships below age 18, as well as the impact on parenting.
