Basic awareness of child protection. Developed by Swindon Borough Council Learning and Development department.

Part one will cover:

  • Why safeguarding is important and the legislation surrounding it
  • How child protection is defined
  • Related case studies

Part two will cover:

  • The 3 Rs
  • Physical abuse
  • Emotional abuse
  • Online abuse
  • Sexual abuse

Part three will cover:

  • Neglect
  • Understanding and recognising risks of young people with special considerations
  • The types of abusers
  • Radicalisation

Part four will cover:

  • Record keeping
  • Making a referral
  • Final thoughts

Please note: We are currently unable to provide a certificate for completing this eLearning. As a temporary measure if you need some form of confirmation of attendance, you will be able to obtain a copy of your responses to the evaluation questions. After completiing the eLearning module, complete the evaluation form and submit your answers. On the 'thank you' page there will be an option to print or get a PDF of your responses.
