Target group

This event is relevant for all professionals working with children and adults who may become aware of signs of vulnerability to radicalisation. 

Event overview

The event will introduce the process of radicalisation, how to recognise possible concerns and how to respond when these arise, how to effectively safeguard from radicalisation, how to access local support and insight into the Channel experience. 

Learning objectives

• To recognise what makes people vulnerable to radicalisation 
• To know what radicalisation is and why it is important to discuss and address in relation to safeguarding
• To understand how the Prevent strategy and Channel process can be used to support individuals, improve their health and well-being outcomes and divert them away from potential harm
• To be aware of your responsibilities in relation to Prevent
