As a safeguarding organisation the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps to protect the public by supporting employers to make safer recruitment and employment decisions, and by barring individuals who pose a risk to vulnerable people. Target group – This workshop focuses on understanding eligibility for DBS checks and is suitable for anyone who has responsibility for engaging with DBS processes and legislation within their organisation, including those who hold responsibilities for recruitment and making decisions around the level of check an employee or volunteer is eligible for. Aims and objectives
The workshop will be delivered by Mel Berry, South West Regional Adviser, from the DBS. Mel works across the region with organisations both big and small and across all sectors.
