The following organisations offer support and information to parents and carers:

  • Swindon Parent Partnership Service offers parents and carers independent information and support on all aspects of their children’s special educational needs. Tel: 01793 466515.

  • Swindon Advocacy Movement (SAM) is a user led independent advocacy service for people with a learning disability and High Functioning Autism and Aspergers in Swindon. SAM enables individuals to take control of their lives, gaining access to help and services they need. Tel: 01793 542266.

  • Family Lives helpline: 0808 800 2222. (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 9.00pm; Saturday, 9.30am to 5.00pm and Sunday, 10.00am to 3.00pm).

  • Kidscape is for parents, guardians or concerned relatives and friends of bullied children. Tel: 08451 205204 (10.00am to 4.00pm).

  • Anti bullying campaign advice line for parents and children. Tel: 020 7378 1446 (9.30am to 5.00pm).

  • Advisory Centre for Education advice for parents and children on all school matters. Tel: 0808 800 5793.

  • Children's Legal Centre offers free legal advice on all aspects of the law affecting children and young people. Tel: 0845 120 2948.

  • Citizen's Advice Bureau providing you with the knowledge and confidence you need to find your way forward. Tel: 0800 144 8848.
