Course delivered virtually via MS Teams.

Please note: Pre-requisite training: prior to attending this module you will need to complete the eLearning Supporting and Exploring Child Development (awareness level) - Swindon Safeguarding Partnership and complete Supporting and Exploring Child Development Module 2 prior to attending this module as learners build on knowledge gained at each level.

Please complete the evaluation form and save your certificate to provide proof of completion.

Target group

This training will be relevant for frontline professionals working with children and families. 

This will be particularly relevant to those working with toddlers to 3 ½ years to 5 year olds including supporting children with special education needs.

Aims and objectives    

  • To explore brain function and the gender debate
  • To understand brain development in young children (pre school and reception)
  • To understand the importance of he importance inclusive practice to child development
  • To begin to explore how to support young children with SEND processes and practice
