Training delivered in a virtual classroom on Zoom. This course will give participants an overview on domestic abuse issues and enable them to increase their knowledge, confidence and skills when working with victims of domestic violence and abuse and in particular those at risk of honour-based abuse, forced marriage and female genital mutilation. Target groupAll professionals who work directly with children/young people and/or their parents/carers and adults/adults at risk. Aims and objectivesThe course explores trends of domestic abuse behaviour, how to support clients, signs and symptoms to look out for, links with cultural issues, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, DASH risk assessment and safety planning.
